AWARDED TO SCHULENBURG FESTIVAL PRO RODEO

 

The Schulenburg Festival Pro Rodeo received the “2011 CPRA Co-Approved Committee of the Year $4000 & Above Added” award at the 19th Annual Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) Finals Rodeo at the Brazoria County Fair in Angleton, Texas on October 14, 2011.  Schulenburg Festival Pro Rodeo Directors on hand to accept the award were Shelley Redding, Ronnie Wick, Lance Vacek, Jason Stang.  The presentation of the award was made by “2011 Stock Contractor of the Year” Johnny Hoyle, Cadillac Rodeo Company. Mexia, Texas.  Schulenburg Festival Directors not shown are Matt Foster.

The Schulenburg Festival Pro Rodeo won out of all the CPRA/UPRA Rodeos in Texas hosting $4000.00 and above added money to their Rodeo.  Selections for determining the winners of this award are made by the Rodeo Contestants and CPRA Rodeo Directors.  The Schulenburg Festival Pro Rodeo has previously won the award for “CPRA Co-Approved Rodeo of the Year” in 2008, 2009 & 2010 and the award for “CPRA Rodeo of the Year” in 2004 & 2005.

Schulenburg Festival Pro Rodeo’s stock contractor, Johnny Hoyle, Cadillac Rodeo Company of Mexia, Texas was named “2011 Stock Contractor of the Year.” The stock contractor also received awards for “2011 Saddle Bronc Horse of the Year” named H6 Honky Tonk Woman and “2011 Bull of the Year” named 215 Alabama Jam.

We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to our great rodeo committee, workers/volunteers, stock contractor and his crew, rodeo judges, rodeo pick up men, rodeo clowns, CPRA committee members and directors, contestants, Schulenburg Festival Association, patrons, all our sponsors and supporters for making Schulenburg Festival Pro Rodeo 2011 a success once again.
